King Charles issued an uplifting statement after his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, received a fresh update from the Palace.
On June 28, Buckingham Palace released the monarch's personal message in which he raised the spirits of Scotland's football team as they exited the FIFA World Cup 2026 championship.
He wrote, "To the players, outgoing manager and support staff of Scotland's football team, I would like to offer you my sincere commiserations on exiting the World Cup."
Charles said to the whole team not to dull their spark and return home with proud hearts.
The King penned, "While I know what a huge disappointment this will be - just as it is for New Zealand, who didn't make it through this time and have my similar sympathies - I hope you may be able to return home with proud hearts for the joy you have given to so many in having qualified for the first time in over 25 years."
Moreover, the monarch shared that he and his wife extend good wishes to England, Australia and Canada for the future matches.
"I fear that traditional sporting rivalries mean it may be too much to hope that the devoted tartan army of yours will now cheer with full voice for the three other realms still in contention, but my wife and I nonetheless wish England, Australia and Canada the very best of luck for the battles ahead!" the statement concluded.
This new post came after it was revealed that Archie and Lilibet have been enjoying holidays with their parents in Europe amid the buzz of their UK return.
