Linda Blair speaks out after property searched over 100-dog Kennel report

The Exorcist actress Linda Blair's southern California house was searched by L.A. authorities on Friday, July 31, 2026.

The raid was targetted at the animals Blair has rescued recently.

The authorities did not raid, The Exorcist’ star home for any criminal investigation, instead it was targeted at an ongoing probe into a reported kennel operation.

The raid was carried out by over 70 members of the law enforcement officials.

The 63-year-old actress, known for The Exorcist, whose home was searched under the joint operation conducted by the L.A. County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) and L.A. Department of Regional Planning.

According to the officials, it was an “investigative warrant” to search her property for various violations, including the number of animals that were being housed there.

During the raid, Blair was reported to be present at the property and remained cooperative, with authorities confirming that no dogs were seized from the house.

Linda took to her Instagram handle and shared her reaction first time since the raid.

She said the animals were okay “in lieu of our surprise visit in 105C heat.”

“Turns out we just have some paperwork to do and some diagrams but as everybody knows, I’m looking to move so I can be more educational and help more animals,” the actress wrote.

According to the DACC, the Kennel facility’s permits expired in 2023.

The county agencies approached the owner, who never get back to the call.

The department is commissioned under the law to make sure of the welfare of the dogs on the property, including assessing their overall care and the safety conditions.
