Queen Camilla appears to be making big moves behind the scenes in a bid to “add a layer of protection” for King Charles.

The King, who is undergoing cancer treatment, had been welcoming of the idea of having his grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet nearby following the Sussexes move back to Britain. Camilla was even cordial to Prince Harry despite everything he wrote in Spare about her.

And while, she is reportedly not going to get in the way of the monarch, the Queen Consort is drawing some red lines and Prince William is backing her.

“Camilla’s not shy in facing down her critics and her presence at the July Highgrove meeting was unanimously agreed to be ‘ingenious’ by everyone at the Palace, including William,” a royal insider told Woman’s Day, concerning the last meeting held Highgrove House in July.

“She added a layer of protection around the King – while offering tea to the two people who’ve their world a nightmare. Any thaw in their relationship with the King has to include her in the room.”

They noted that Camilla and Harry’s relationship is “still damaged” and it is unlikely to be healed fully. Camilla is also not the person who forgives and forgets hence, she is pushing to make an official contract with the Sussexes to avoid any more issues in the future.

“Camilla doesn’t want to get in the way of Charles and his grandchildren and she doesn’t want Harry and Meghan to either. Charles will keep seeing the grandchildren when he can and Camilla will stay present enough to avoid any soap operas.”

She is insistent that if there are no leaks, the reconciliation can go on, otherwise the deal is off.
