KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed former leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed, who was serving the England team, as the spin-bowling coach of the Pakistan team.
An official announcement in this regard is expected to be made today. The former stalwart is the second important appointee in the Pakistan team setup after another legendary player Waqar Younis was appointed as head coach recently recently.
Mushtaq had a close fight with fellow player Saqlain Mushtaq for the bowling consultant; however, the board has preferred him due to his vast experience at the international level.
In addition, compared to Saqlain, he is closer to Waqar as they earlier played together for UBL and Multan.
