CIA launches Twitter account

WASHINGTON: The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has joined social networking website Twitter.

In its naughty maiden Tweet from its official account “@CIA” the spy agency texted: “We can neither confirm nor deny that this is our first tweet.”

The tweet went viral as within no time it bagged more than 100,000 retweets and 75,000 favorites and in less than 90 minutes of joining Twitter its followers hit over 84,000 mark. The number of followers is climbing up at supersonic speed.

The world’s most powerful spy agency already has an official website besides accounts on YouTube and Flicker.
