PM contempt case: Aitzaz concludes arguments on Article 10A
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s counsel in the contempt of cour case, Aitzaz Ahsan has concluded his arguments on Artcile 10A pertaining to a fair trial.

A seven member bench of the apex court is hearing the contempt of court case. During proceedings Ahsan argued that the contempt of court law was invalid under Article 10A.

Justice Gulzar remarked that the record of the parliamentary committee could tell about what was the objective of Article 10-A.

Ahsan said that the Supreme Court could not hold a trial to implement its orders and this had to be done by a High Court. Justice Asif khosa remarked that under Artile 4 even those laws had to be accepted which were unfavourable.
