Lahore: Anti-dengue drive in full swing
LAHORE: Various government departments and universities Sunday launched a citywide dengue awareness campaign here, Geo News reported.

In spite of a weekly holiday, Environment Department, Lahore Development Authority, Punjab University, University of Engineering & Technology, and other departments remained open to make the anti-dengue drive a success.

Anti-dengue mosquito kits as well as leaflets bearing necessary information on how to prevent the mosquito from breeding, hiding, and biting, were distributed among the citizens.

Visual aids like hoardings and banners were put up across the city to bring the citizens around.

The campaigners carried out fumigation in different departments.

In Punjab University, the heads of departments supervised the spray of larvicide.

In Gulberg, MPAs, top officials, and notables participated in a walk for the same and gave out dengue kits.

Nurses, who were not behind in this drive, handed out awareness leaflets at Chairing Cross.
