Don't depend on govt for victims help: Nawaz
DERA MURAD JAMALI: Pakistan Muslim League-N President Nawaz Sharif Sunday asserted that instead of depending entirely on government, everyone will have to come forward to extend help to the affectees of the devastation unleashed by monsoon rain and flood.

Addressing the rain/flood victims along with PML-N workers here, Nawaz Sharif demanded of the government to announce a relief of Rs100,000 cash for each family affected by the natural calamity.

"The resources that belong to the people should be spent on their welfare," he said, regretting that no government activities could be seen anywhere in the flood-hit areas of the province. Helping the rain/flood hit people is Pakistani nation's collective responsibility, he added.

Nawaz Sharif said Shahbaz Sharif would also be visiting the province to help the victims.

He also announced monetary help for the affected people.

Earlier, the PML-N President also took an aerial tour of the flood affected areas on his way to Dera Murad Jamali from Jacobabad.
