SC hears Geo’s petition against negative propaganda

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) is hearing the petition filed by the Independent Media Corporation (IMC) on behalf of Geo Network against the negative propaganda by other TV channels and to resume its transmission on cable networks.

A three-judge bench of the SC headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja is hearing the IMC petition. During proceedings, Justice Jawwad remarked that until night it was not in his knowledge that he would be hearing this petition which is making rounds in the media these days.

Justice Jawwad S Khawaja inquired the Attorney General if anyone has any objection on him hearing the case including PEMRA, Federation or any other party. He said that it should be brought into his knowledge if anyone has any disagreement.
