Commander Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan calls on COAS

RAWALPINDI: General John Nicholson, Commander Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at the Army General HQ on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing of the Pakistan Army, during the meeting, matters of mutual interest including border coordination mechanism along Pakistan-Afghanistan border and security situation in Afghanistan were discussed.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged the far reaching effects of operation Zarb-e-Azb and lauded the role of Pakistan Army for bringing peace and stability in the region. The COAS thanked Commander of Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, Gen John Nicholson and Afghanistan security Forces for recovery of Ali Haider Gilani in a successful op in Afghanistan
