SC reserves judgment on four death sentences awarded by military courts

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court reserved its judgment on four appeals against death sentences announced by military courts.

Haider Ali, Qari Zaheer Gul and facilitators of Army Public School attack Taj Muhammad and Ateeq ur Rehman had their death sentences put on hold.

Meanwhile the Supreme Court demanded records of military court judgments for death row convicts Jameel ur Rehman, Aslam Khan, Taj Gul and Nasir Khan.

The court adjourned its session till next week.

A five member bench presided by the Chief Justice heard 17 appeals against death sentences announced by military courts.

Renowned lawyer Asma Jehangir had challenged the military court judgment in the apex court.
