RIO DE JANEIRO: Long jumper Haider Ali becomes the first Pakistani to win Bronze this year at Paralympics 2016 held in Rio.

31-year-old Gujranwala born Haider participated in T-37 long jump event, managing a distance of 6.28 meters. He finished third behind Brazil’s Mateus Evangelista Cardoso 6.53 metres and China’s Shang Guangxu 6.77meters.
