MQM submits resolution in NA for annexation of Junagadh

ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan has submitted a resolution in the National Assembly on Monday to declare Junagadh state as a disputed territory and consider it an integral part of Pakistan.

It is said in the resolution that India unconstitutionally annexed the princely state of Junagadh, which was contrary to the political aspirations of their people, hence in light of the Indian Independence Act 1947 and the decision of the Nawab of Junagadh to join Pakistan their citizens must be considered Pakistani citizens.

It further called for the international community to support Pakistan to free Junagadh state from the clutches of India.
