Back to back explosions in Peshawar target police

PESHAWAR: Two improvised explosive device (IED) explosions took place in Peshawar on Friday targeting law enforcement officers. Luckily neither explosion resulted in any loss of life.

According to police sources, the first explosion took place in Pirano market and the second explosion took place along the northern bypass.

The second explosion was targeting the vehicle of DSP Chamkani who escaped the attack unhurt.

Earlier this week on Monday, Assistant Sub-Inspector Asmat Khan of the newly formed City Patrolling Police force was targeted and killed when unknown assailants showered his car with bullets in Shinwari Town.
