Yet another tape haunts US president-elect Trump

It appears that yet another tape has surfaced to haunt the life of US president-elect Donald Trump. But this time, it's a different kind of tape. The sticky kind. Scotch tape, to be precise.

The New York business tycoon had a wardrobe faux pas earlier this week when a powerful gust of wind sent his red power tie fluttering as he stepped out of his private jet in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The moment was captured by photographers at the location, who quickly clicked their cameras to captured to seize the bizarre sight.

It was unclear if it was the crafty work of an assistant or 'The Donald' himself, but it appears that the back end of Trump's tie ended up being too short to be tucked into the loop, forcing him to use a Do-It-Yourself method.

Photographs showed at least two pieces of clear Scotch tape affixed to the back of the bright necktie of the next president of the world's most powerful nation, barely holding the two ends in place.

Social media had a field day with the photos, with many mocking the ex-Apprentice star for his inability to find a tie clip or a tie that fits properly.

One Twitter user said Trump preferred not to use the tie loop because it said "Made in China".

It is worth noting that the business tycoon also owns his own brand of neckwear.

Trump is known to wear his ties too long, lengthier than recommended. Neckties are usually supposed to stop at the waistline, but 'The Donald' prefers to wear it way below that point.

It remains to be seen if the US president-elect will continue to use Scotch tape to hold things to hold things together and keep them in place when he assumes charge of the world's most powerful political office.
