Wherever cricket is played in the world, local bowlers are provided to teams for net practice. In a similar instance on Sunday, Pakistani bowlers – currently in the United Kingdom – were also available to foreign players training for the ICC Champions Trophy in Birmingham.

After playing cricket on different levels at home, these Pakistani players are not only being praised by international players for their bowling skills, but also earning respect for their country.

While bowling to foreign players in the nets, they say that it isn't necessary to wear a green shirt to prove Pakistani talent. They also mentioned how bowling professional players from around the world further hones their skills.

"It helps us judge our own level of bowling expertise," says Kalim Khan, a local bowler from Pakistan who was present at the training session.

The players, however, say that many of them left Pakistan for the UK only because they didn't a chance to play for their country.
