KARACHI: Weapons and explosive material were recovered from a well in Nazimabad no.3 area of the city during an operation by the Rangers late at night on Wednesday.
According to the Rangers spokesperson, the weapons and explosive material were hidden by the workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London before the operation started in 2014.
According to a press release, the recovered arms and ammunition included seven awan bombs, 3,026 bullets of submachine guns and 75 bullets of a 222 gun. Moreover, 13 bundles of voters slips were also found dug in the well.
The well dug Wednesday night is not far from the wells dug on June 23 and July 2.
Only July 2, the Rangers found 86 locally manufactured bombs from a well, while a huge cache of arms was found buried inside another well dug on June 23, both in the same area i.e. Nazimabad no. 3.
