ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz said on Monday that the report of the Panama case Joint Investigation (JIT) team was not complete and ignored several main facts.

Aziz speaking to reporters outside the Supreme Court said since the first day the evidence presented in the JIT report was being termed as ’trash’. He added that now even the judges had raised questions about the verification of the documents.

According to Aziz, the JIT report contained ambiguities, ignored facts and used the words ‘most likely’ and ‘it seems’.

Moreover, he said that a solicitor has signed the trust deed between Hussain Nawaz and Maryam Nawaz in 2006. But, the JIT members tried their best to tamper the official records and show that the document was signed in 2004. They contacted forensic members to change official records and show that Sharif family is guilty, he remarked.

Questions have been asked as to why Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was staying at the apartments. I just want to say that people who talk about justice should also be probed.

“A leader whose properties have been ordered to be seized by court but he is holding rallies and badmouthing the government.” There are cases against our opponents at Election Commission of Pakistan yet they never show up for the hearings, they don’t file their replies and keep changing their lawyers, he said, adding “we are against this selective justice”.

“If you want laws to be followed then they should be enforced upon everyone equally. Why is also one family being targeted?”

He further added that people who are not petitioners in the case also attended the hearing on Monday. “Members of Pakistan Peoples Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement came to the court, it seems as if someone gave them this duty.”
