Man shoots down dacoit, protects child during robbery attempt in Karachi

KARACHI: One dacoit was killed in an exchange of gunfire during a robbery attempt Wednesday night here in Bahadurabad, Geo News reported.

In the exclusive CCTV footage obtained by Geo News, a man is seen walking outside his home, accompanied by a child when he spots his brother across the street surrounded by robbers.

The video shows the man trying and failing to stop the robbery attempt, following which the suspects opened fire on him. Shielding himself and the child from bullets, he reenters his home and emerges with his personal gun.

The man, consequently, aims at the dacoits midway through the robbery and shoots, killing one of the suspects, while three others managed to flee.

It is not known what, if any, items were taken by the escaped robbers.
