British Police said that one person died after a light aircraft collision at Caernarfon Airport in Wales on Thursday.

The police said in a Facebook post that the pilot of the aircraft had died after it collided on the runway and caught fire.

“A cordon is in place around the site and we are urging the public to remain clear of the area to allow the emergency services to deal with the incident,” Chief Inspector for North Wales Police Sharon McCairn said.
