Mahira, Atif feature in Pakistan’s most watched music videos of 2017

As the year comes to an end, YouTube has released a list of most popular videos in Pakistan this year.

The list is topped by Raees’s song, Zaalima, starring Mahira Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. The videos have been selected based on the time spent watching, sharing, commenting by users.

The video is followed by Atif Aslam’s Pehli Daffa, which comes on a close second.

Here is the list of top five most popular videos in Pakistan: 

1) Zaalima featuring Mahira Khan, Shah Rukh Khan

The song by Arijit Singh for Mahira's Bollywood debut, Raees, became an instant sensation after it was released. 

2) Pehli Dafa- Atif Aslam

The music video of Atif Aslam’s single Pehli Dafa featuring the Rustom actor Ileana D'Cruz looks as good as it sounds. Earlier last year, Ileana had also shared a solo picture on Instagram, hinting at an upcoming project with the singer. 

3) Despacito- Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee

Labelled as the anthem of the year, Despacito has become one of the most famous songs across the globe. 

4) No Make Up - Bilal Saeed ft. Bohemia

The single by Bilal Saeed become an instant fan favourite. The video has been watched over 30 million times on YouTube. 

5) Shape of You- Ed Sheeran

The song which was released earlier this year took the world by storm, with people of different ages grooving to it.  

However, the list does not end there other honourable mentions include Baazi by Sahir Ali Bagga and Aima Baig, Fi Ha (Arabic Remix), Sibbi Song by SomeWhatSuper and Abid Brohi, Kaif O Suroor (Promo) by Aima Baig and Coke Studio’s Nathional Anthem of Pakistan.
