KARACHI: At least 16 suspects were detained in connection with the brutal rape and murder of a minor girl in Karachi, police confirmed, on Saturday.
The blood samples of the suspects have been taken for DNA testing.
The real culprit behind the sexual assault and subsequent murder of the nine-year-old will only be ascertained once the DNA reports come in, police said. The deceased's family has not named anyone in the first information report (FIR).
The tragic incident had taken place a few days earlier in the metropolis' Bin Qasim Town.
