NAB detains PPP's Zabardast Khan Mahar from Rohri

ROHRI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) detained Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Zabardast Khan Mahar during a raid Sunday here in the city, Geo News reported.

The NAB also seized some documents from Zabardast Khan's home in the Ali Wahan area while he was present there during a search. Officials of the anti-graft watchdog also carried out a raid at the PPP leader's ice factory.

The PPP leader is reportedly a close aide of senior party member Khursheed Shah, who, himself, was arrested on September 18 from near Bani Gala in a case pertaining to acquiring assets beyond means of income.

According to the NAB, Mahar is accused of alleged corruption through trade of grains in the Food Department.
