The policemen not only beat-up the reporter, but also slapped two cameramen, one of them named Rehan, for doing their job and covering the court appearance of Hamza Shahbaz.

The brutality did not stop there, but the mobile phone of Usman Ahmed Bhatti was also shattered in the process. Several other journalists were roughly pushed aside to make way for the convoy.

When the journalists asked the policemen why they were being subjected to such inhumane treatment, there was no answer forthcoming. It seemed like Punjab police had a free hand to injure innocent citizens.

The journalists afterwards gathered together and protested in front of the court, urging authorities to take notice of the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.
