ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Water and Power has recommended a two percent increase in the electricity tariff due to an increase in the price of oil and gas, Geo News reported.
The spokesperson for the ministry, Hamid Ali Khan while speaking to Geo News said efforts were being made to cut electricity losses and the connection of those individuals stealing electricity were being cut.
He added that electricity demand was increasing by seven percent annually.
