LAHORE: The national U-16 hockey and weightlifting championships have been postponed due to the dengue threat, Geo News reported.
The U-16 championship was set to start from October 1 but the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) postponed the tournament at the strict behest of Punjab government.
The Punjab Weightlifting Association shelved the Punjab weightlifting championship, which was scheduled to begin from September 28.
Prior to this the National T20 tournament was shifted from Lahore to Karachi due to fear of the dengue epidemic.
