Suspended KPK ministers continue to work
PESHAWAR: Some of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) ministers who had been suspended by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for failing to declare assets, continue to work in their full capacity, Geo News reported.

Twenty-eight members of the KP assembly were suspended when they failed to provide the ECP details of their assets. The five provincial ministers who were suspended continue to perform their duties and claim they could not submit their details because they did not receive the relevant forms in time.

KP ministers Syed Aqeel Shah, Liaqat Shabab and Sher Azam Khan have submitted details of their assets to the ECP but remain suspended. The minister for housing Amjad Khan Afridi is yet to submit his details.

According to the ECP, it is against the law for those suspended to keep on working as provincial ministers.
