As Pakistan play defensively on the fifth day of the ongoing second Test to seal their win against Australia, former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar is of the view that the national squad should keep an aggressive approach to beat the opponent.

Akhtar, who is always vocal with his advice when Pakistan face another team on the cricket ground, wished that the team's approach was for a win.

Taking to Twitter, the former cricketer said that the Babar Azam-led side could be "rewriting history" as they take on Australia in a historic series.

"I wish Pakistan's approach was for a win. Could be rewriting history," Akhtar tweeted.

In a separate post, the fast bowler, popularly known as Rawalpindi Express, said that both the opponents of the ongoing Test should try to turn the game to their advantage as there were 39 overs and 202 runs needed to win.

"202 to win. 39 overs. 6 wickets. Both teams must go for the kill for the result," he wrote.
