Days after a concert controversy surrounded Pakistani singer Bilal Saeed, the rap star broke the silence expressing regret for giving a "wrong reaction" to his audiences.

For those who are still unaware of what happened, a short video clip of Bilal aggressively throwing the mic on the crowd after he stopped singing a song midway and leaving the show, went viral a few days ago.

This was reportedly a reaction to "some boys in the crowd who were misbehaving" during the concert. The matter drew mixed responses, mostly condemning the singer for giving such a "violent" reaction while some called it a "publicity stunt".

However, to clear the air Bilal issued a clarification early on Saturday morning, saying that people can get "overwhelmed" sometimes.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the 12 Saal singer wrote a brief paragraph to present his case.

"The stage has always been my whole world; I have always felt the most complete and the most alive while performing!" Bilal wrote.

He said that performing for his fans has always been his top priority as he puts aside everything else for it, be it "sickness, stress or worries".

He confirmed that the case was really that someone was misbehaving in the crowd but said "it wasn't the first time" something like this had happened to him.

However, he said: "It definitely was the first time I gave wrong reaction. I should have never left the stage."

The Adhi Adhi Raat star further stated that no matter what the case was, "nothing should have come in the way of me and the respect that my stage deserved from me".

The artist is one of the first rappers in the Pakistani music industry and has earned fame with his songs, which are popular among the young generation especially.

Bilal rose to prominence from his first song, 12 Saal which came out as a blockbuster in 2012. He then gave the industry several music numbers including the famous Uchiyaan Deewaran.
