Zayn Malik hasn’t forgotten about his former and late bandmate, Liam Payne.
During last night’s performance, a part of his Stairway To The Sky tour, he paid a tribute to the One Direction alum, in a rather sentimental way.
As the 31-year-old Dusk Till Dawn singer took the stage The Halls venue in the University of Wolverhampton, acknowledging Payne’s home city, her mentioned, "I’ve been doing something, at the end of the show, every night, and it’s been dedicated to my brother Liam Payne.”
Malik continued, “Rest in peace. I hope you’re seeing this, we’re in your hometown tonight, Wolverhampton, this is for you, Liam."
According to multiple videos and pictures regulating online, the Bradford-born artist could be seen getting emotional as he paid his tribute to his pal who passed away last month.
On the blue screen, a rather tear-jerking message was displayed at the end of his show, that read, "Liam Payne 1993-2024. Love you bro" alongside a pink heart.
Despite his remembrance of Payne, Malik has remained pretty tight-lipped over his feelings over the For You singer’s tragic demise that occurred due to a fall from his third-floor hotel balcony in Argentina.
However, Zayn Malik has previously rescheduled his original opening dates of the Stairway To The Sky tour in Edinburgh due to Payne’s funeral, which was also attended by their fellow One Direction stars Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan.
