Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have hit an unexpected problem while trying to make their Ohio home more private.

The couple reportedly wanted to build a tall fence around their home in Bratenahl.

However, local rules do not make it easy for them to put up the fence they wanted.

The home is right next to Lake Erie, so there are rules about how high a fence can be near the water.

In most cases, lakefront fences can only be 2.5 feet high unless most of the fence can be seen through.

The fence plan was discussed by local officials in August and again in September. the couple, moreover, did not get approval for the plan.

Taylor and Travis have now reportedly agreed to look at a shorter fence that would not go around the whole property.

A new plan has also been sent to the village for review.

But the fence is not the only way the couple are trying to keep people away.

A voice warning system has reportedly been placed around the home. One neighbour said that when someone got close to the house, an automated voice warned them not to enter the property.

Travis bought the $5.35 million home in March, before his July wedding to Taylor.

The large house has eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms and sits close to the area where Travis grew up.
