Prince William and Princess Kate were love birds on VE Day.

On Thursday, May 8, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended the VE Day 80: A Celebration To Remember concert in London. They were joined by King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Thursday’s musical event marked the culmination of a week-long celebration of VE Day, which commemorates the end of World War II in Europe on May 8, 1945.

William’s caring gesture was captured as he and Princess Kate walked toward their seats, and he put his hand on his wife's back to guide her. In another sweet moment, Kate also put her hand at William's back, and looked at him lovingly in yet another photo.

Although the duo has always refrained from public displays of affection, they seem to have relaxed their approach after Kate’s cancer treatment.

Royal etiquette expert Myka Meier previously told People that there aren’t any strict rules on PDA, saying, "Senior members of the royal family would likely not be told how to interact or when they can or can not show PDA and would be trusted to use their better judgement as to when it's appropriate. The royals often adjust PDA to mirror the formality of the event they are attending."
