Prince William, Kate Middleton make strategic move to modernize monarchy

As Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales, are known for keeping work-life balance, people are eager to see what kind of King and Queen they will be.

People Magazine reported that Richard Jerome writes in William & Catherine: A Millennial Monarchy latest issue that the Wales have made sure to install “broader sense of duty” in their children.

The royal couple have faced tough times in recent years with Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth’s death, Prince Harry feud, and King Charles and Catherine’s cancer diagnosis.

While Kate is now returning to her public life after announcing that she is in remission in January 2025, the future King and Queen are expected to bring new generation’s energy to the crown.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, connect with the younger generations using technology and social media.

Richard states in the latest issue, “The Waleses have gone to great lengths to provide their three children with as normal a childhood as possible… But they’ve also long been installing a broader sense of duty.”

He also recalled the December 2023 moment, when Princess Kate brought George, Charlotte, and Louis to a baby bank. She told her children, “You’re the volunteers for this evening.”

The author shared, “At the end of their shift, she put her arm around George and said, 'You can see how rewarding this kind of work is, knowing you are helping out others.'”

Moreover, sources also highlighted Kate Middleton’s role inside the house with one stating, “She takes things seriously — and thank goodness for that.”

“She has this public image of being nice and smiley. But she is actually strong-minded, strong-willed and prepared to fight for what she wants and what she thinks is right,” royal author Valentine Low added of Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William.
