Kenan Thompson has teased that the Saturday Night Live season 51 is bringing “a lot of change.”
Catching up with Page Six, the 47-year-old American actor and comedian has shared that the late-night show’s cast might shift ahead of its season 51.
Thompson said, “Especially this year where it feels like there’s maybe, possibly, a lot of change next year.”
He added, “You want everyone to stay forever, knowing that people may be making decisions this summer…it’s always like you want your kids to stay young.”
Talking about returning to the 51st season of SNL, the Good Burger star quipped, “You just never know what the future holds. I don’t want to be in the way of someone else or I don’t want to be the stale old man riding the same thing. That doesn’t really happen that much at ‘SNL’ but there’s no guarantees, I guess.”
Thompson went on to admit that SNL is still “one of his favorite places to be.”
For the unversed, The Grinch star has appeared on SNL 22 times, which makes him one of the most frequent actors in the show’s history than anyone else.
It is pertinent to mention that Kenan Thompson has not decided to return to the show for his 23rd season.
