Miley Cyrus breaks silence on 'beef' with Jennifer Lawrence

There have been long rumours that Jennifer Lawrence had a fling with Liam Hemsworth while he was dating Miley Cyrus.

The Grammy winner, who had an on-off relationship with him, released the track Flowers in 2023, which fans say is a breakup anthem.

They also believed the 32-year-old wore an outfit in the music video - a stark similar to what the Oscar winner donned on the The Hunger Games premiere in Los Angeles. 

Fans believed it was a subtle dig at the actress. However, Miley, in the latest video, dismissed the speculation. 

“Miley, was your ‘Flowers’ dress a reference to Jennifer Lawrence?” the fan asked. “No, but I love that dress of hers,” she responded.

Similarly, Jennifer previously clarified that she had no affair with her co-star.

“When Miley Cyrus’ song ‘Flowers’ debuted, there was a lot of talk that the music video was referencing a secret fling that you had with Liam Hemsworth while he was with Miley Cyrus,” host Andy Cohen asked on his show. She responded, “Not true. Not true, total rumor.”

“We all know Liam and I, like, kissed one time,” the 34-year-old noted. “It was years after they broke up. So I just assume [the music video] was a coincidence.”

For 10 years, Miley and Liam had an on-off relationship. The pair tied the knot in 2018, only to be parted ways in less than a year.
