Netflix in trouble: Why Tyra Banks filed lawsuit against 'Reality Check' series

Tyra Banks took a legal action against Netflix over its docuseries Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model.

Tyra claimed that the series shows her in a way that is not true and has hurt her reputation.

The 52-year-old says that she has gone through serious emotional stress after watching how she was edited in the series.

According to court documents reported by People magazine, the American TV personality says only a small part of her long interview was used and the rest was cut in a way that changed the real meaning of what she said.

Tyra went on to add that around 16 minutes from a much longer interview was selected and then placed together in a way that created a different story.

However, the media star continued sharing that this made it look like she said or did things that are not accurate.

She also says the show gave a misleading idea about her role in some serious situations on America’s Next Top Model.

In her filing, the star insists that she did respond properly to issues at the time and that important parts of her explanation were left out.

Tyra’s legal case also mentioned that she did take action behind the scenes when concerns were raised during production.
