Meghan Markle received a heartbreaking update from the hospital where her father, Thomas Markle, was admitted to the intensive care unit in Cebu, Philippines.

The 81-year-old's left foot was removed in a critical surgery after a blood clot cut off circulation, the Daily Mail revealed.

The Duchess of Sussex's estranged half-brother Thomas Jr, shared, "My dad is being very brave. His foot turned blue and then black. It happened very quickly. I took him to a local hospital, and they did some scans and an ultrasound and said the leg had to be amputated."

To save his life, doctors removed the limb, calling the next few days critical.

Thomas said that they did not have any other option other than to amputate the foot to save his father's life. "...it was a case of life or death." he made an emotional confession.

Giving more updates, he said, "One of his doctors said the next two or three days are critical. His left leg has been removed below the knee. They were worried about infection setting in - sepsis or gangrene. The flesh was black and dying."

Now, questions are raised about Meghan Markle's possible next move. Will she rush to the hospital to see his father, who suffered a life-threatening medical condition?

Or, the Duchess of Sussex remains silent, which already portrays her in a negative light, as the ailing Thomas's last wish is to meet his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.
