OpenAI is rolling out one of its most affordable ChatGPT plans, ChatGPT Go, in the US at a tempting price of $8 per month, which is dirt-cheap in the face of top-tier packages like ChatGPT Plus for $20 and ChatGPT Pro for $200.
While the plan is placed at a higher rate than the $5 rate offered in India, it is significantly cheaper than many other ChatGPT plans, making advanced features accessible to a bigger audience.
ChatGPT Go was originally introduced in India in August last year, and ascended to immense popularity in no time owint to its lower cost and enhanced features.
Its availability in the US and the rest of the world follows its expansion to 170 additional countries.
The ChatGPT maker also announced to test ads in the US soon, a development that may not be welcome by all users.
These ads will appear in both the free and Go versions of ChatGPT, while the Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise tiers will remain ad-free.
ChatGPT Go is an ideal option for users seeking enhanced AI capabilities at a reasonable price, with the introduction of ads marking a shift in OpenAI's monetisation efforts.
