The ballot for the 2027 TCS London Marathon opened on Friday, April 24, 2026.
With the inception of the ballot, organizers have revealed a dramatic change in the rules that can double the chances of candidates securing a place.
Ballot opened at 9:00 BST on Friday, April 24, 2026, and will close at 16:00 sharp on Friday 1, 2026. Selected candidates will receive an email by early July 2026.
The London Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, April 25, 2027. But it is expected that organizers are exploring a one-off two-day format. It indicates that the marathon will be organized for two days, i.e., Saturday, April 24, and Sunday, April 25.
This will double the number of participants to 100,000 runners. If such a format is approved, the chances of applicants will increase.
For UK residents, the marathon costs around £79.99. For residents who want to donate to the London Marathon Foundation, the fee will be reduced to £49.99. International runners will pay £225.
Go to the official website of the TCS London Marathon. Fill in the application form online, make payment for the registration, or even donate as an alternative method of registration, and await the confirmation email in your inbox.
