Nicola Peltz has raised eyebrows with an Instagram post celebrating her brother's new wife as her "dream sister", a description that conspicuously excluded her actual sister-in-law, 14-year-old Harper Beckham.
Peltz, 31, shared a series of photos from her older brother Will's wedding to Kenya Kinski-Jones on Monday, gushing about her newest family member with warmth that made the omission all the more pointed.
"Willy, thank you for finally and officially giving me my dream sister, ken," she wrote, calling Kenya "incredible" and expressing how lucky she felt to have the Jones family in her life.
The post was full of genuine affection, and impossible to read without noticing who wasn't mentioned.
Kenya is the daughter of the late legendary music producer Quincy Jones and German actress Nastassja Kinski.
Peltz praised the entire Jones family as "incredible humans" who bring "love, warmth, beauty and pure magic" into her life.
She also posted to her Instagram Stories showing herself embracing both Will and her husband Brooklyn Beckham, captioning the image "my boys forever."
The timing and language of the post arrive against the backdrop of an increasingly public rift between Brooklyn, 27, and his entire family.
The feud became undeniable in January when Brooklyn posted a scathing message on Instagram denouncing his parents David and Victoria Beckham and accusing them of attempting to undermine his relationship with Nicola.
The fallout has since spread to his siblings, including Harper, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21.
Whether Nicola's "dream sister" post was a deliberate provocation or simply an expression of genuine joy about her brother's marriage, the internet has drawn its own conclusions.
