Jhené Aiko calls out Big Sean for cheating

Jhené Aiko is letting the music do the talking. 

The 38-year-old musician turned up the heat by bringing her relationship drama to her newly released album, Westside Whimsy.

The B2K music video performer appears to take direct aim at Big Sean by delivering pointed lyrics about infidelity, broken promises and women allegedly entering the picture.

In one particularly fiery passage circulating online, she sings, “Can’t turn a fling into a real thing. Can’t turn a promise into a wedding ring. Can’t turn a h*e into a husband.”

In another notch, she rattled off the names of women as she asks: “Who the f*** is Lisa? Who the f*** is Paige? Who the f*** is Brittany?”

The lyrics have quickly sent fans into detective mode, with listeners speculating about whether Aiko is recounting a specific chapter of her relationship with her longtime former partner, whose real name is Sean Michael Leonard Anderson.

For the unversed, Aiko and Big Sean first became romantically linked in the mid-2010s after collaborating creatively, including their joint project TWENTY88 in 2016.

Their relationship subsequently became an on-and-off affair, with Aiko confirming their split in March 2019.

Even after the breakup, the two continued putting their complicated relationship into music. 

Big Sean's 2019 track Single Again featured Aiko on background vocals, while Aiko's None of Your Concern featured him and found both artists reflecting on their failed relationship.

They rekindled their relationship and welcomed their son, Noah, in November 2022. Now, years later, Aiko's latest album appears to reopen some of those emotional wounds.

Westside Whimsy is her first full-length studio album in six years, following her Grammy-nominated 2020 project Chilombo.

The 20-track album features Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Tyga, Larry June and OHMA, with Kendrick appearing on So Good.
