MQM worker Fahad Aziz released

KARACHI: Police have released Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker, Fahad Aziz on personal bond, Geo News reported Sunday.

Fahad, a resident of Korangi, was arrested while he was leading his Baraat (wedding motorcade) towards a Shah Faisal Colony marriage lawn.

SSP East Pir Muhammad Shah said Fahad was released on personal bond due to his deteriorating heath conditions.

He said that the four policemen including the in-charge of the investigation team had been suspended for torturing Fahad Aziz, whose condition deteriorated and later shifted this morning to a private hospital.

He said action would also be taken against the policemen, involved in torturing Fahad.
