KARACHI: Secretary General of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and former governor Punjab, Sardar Latif Khosa Tuesday said massive rigging took place in the Punjab and that a white paper would be issued after collecting evidence in this regard.
Talking to Geo News here, he said the voter turnout up to 300 percent was registered at a number of polling stations and alleged that the government machinery was put to use in ‘carrying out the rigging’.
He, however, added that ‘we have only accepted the poll results for a stable democracy and a better future of the country’.
Latif Khosa advised the Prime Minister in waiting, Nawaz Sharif, to desist from getting himself declared an ‘Amir ul Momineen’.
He said a feedback is being taken on the alleged rigging and expressed confidence that PPP will make a come back.
