Dr Amir Liaquat hands over a child to yet another childless couple
KARACHI: On the first day of the second ‘ushra’ (ten days) of Ramazan, there was a sort of psychological explosion in the premises of the transmission and the atmosphere all of a sudden filled to the brim with joy and emotion when out of his ‘paalna’, Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain gifted another suckling baby girl to a couple who had been deprived of the happiness of parenthood for eighteen years. The spontaneous reaction of the parents was a unique sight. This brought tears to eyes of everyone present, including the host.

Out with joy, the blessed parents had to grope for words to express their gratitude to Dr. Amir Liaqat Hussain and said that they have been bestowed upon this gift after many prayers and offerings. They assured that they would leave no stone unturned to give her a better living and they would bring her up as their own real daughter. Mr Ramazan Chhipa of Chhipa Welfare Association was also present on the occasion. Later, on the suggestion of the host, the foster parent of the baby girl was named ‘Zainab’. This gesture was a message to the wicked people who had desecrated the other day the tomb of Bibi Zainab (the granddaughter of the Holy Prophet of Islam PBUH) that there are thousands of Zainabs across the globe to keep her name alive till the Doomsday.

On this occasion Dr. Amir Liaqat once again made an appeal to parents who are unable to bring them up, or want to get rid of them, they should not throw them at the garbage dumps but should leave them at the ‘Paalnaas’ set up by different welfare organizations.

The mission of helping the needy continued even on the 11th day of the holy month of Ramazan. Dr Amir Liaqat gave a donation of Rs150,000 on behalf of Mahmooda Sultana Foundation for a child suffering from some serious condition of liver. Donation was also announced for the 14-year old boy Asif who was burnt while making tea.

Noted public figures Haji Hanif Tayyab visited the most popular show along with some patients suffering from thalassaemia and other fatal diseases being treated in his, the Al-Mustafa Trust. The host’s talk with the patients made the audience sad. He also paid tributes to the humanitarian services of Haji Hanif Tayyab. He said that there are very few hospitals in Pakistan where the facility of blood change is available and the Al-Mustafa Trust is one of them. The most outstanding feature is that the poor who have no means to get themselves treated, are treated absolutely free. While commiserating with thalassaemia patients, Dr Amir Liaqat intermingled with them. Haji Tayyab said that when a patient prays for him, one feels boundless joy. He appealed to philanthropists to come out with generous donations for this noble cause to save human lives.

Valuable prizes through draw were distributed even on the 11th day of Ramazan during the segment ‘Qurani Lauh’. The prizes included motorcycles and many other costly gifts. The number of prizes was substantially increased due to Sunday being a holiday. Mufti Muneebur Rehman, Mufti Usman Yar Khan, Dr. Hasan Rizvi also attended the transmission while celebrated Qaris rendered ‘hamads’ and ‘naats’.
