KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah Wednesday said that the worsening law and order situation in the mega-metropolis city would have to be tackled collectively, Geo News reported.

He said that a substantive amount of Rs6.5 billion has been approved for the purchase of high-tech weapons and counter-terrorism training of the police.

Following the police passing-out parade at Razzaqabad, talking to media, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, announcing an additional sum of Rs1.5 billion for the Razzaqabad Police Training Centre, said that police would be provided most modern weapons and training.

Sindh CM said that the police was facing the criminals with courage and bravery, while the terrorists were attacking in ambush. He also expressed his sorrow over the martyrdom of the 25 personnel of Elite Force in terror incident at Razzaqabad Training Centre.

The passing-out parade was held on completion of the training of 803 Elite personnel and 140 Eaglet.
