ISLAMABAD: Former chief justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Tuesday refuted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s allegations as pack of lies, saying the latter’s response had brought the reality in front all to see.
Talking to media persons here, Iftikhar Chaudhry said Imran Khan’s allegations did not hold any water; they are unfounded and a pack of lies.
He said the judiciary was playing a just role in the prevailing circumstances.
On the statement of former additional secretary Election Commission, Afzal Khan, he said he would not comment on that. “I would not stoop so low to comment on the statement of a person like Afzal Khan,” he said.
He denied any rigging in the last year’s general elections.
