LAHORE: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is yet to rectify the faults in its system and Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) has raised an alarm of a break down in their system because of a big difference in demand and supply.
In a letter to the government, SNGPL has stated that there is already a 240 Million Cubic Feet per Day (MMCFD) shortage because the fault in SSGC line has not been rectified yet and the fall in temperature all over the country has increased the difference in demand and supply to a critical level.
SNGPL further stated that even after abandoning what ever limited transmission of gas the Punjab industry was receiving, the company was struggling to provide domestic users with an adequate supply.
