There must be an end to mafia politics, armed wings: Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report regarding the Baldia Town incident has come as a shock to him.

In a message posted on his official twitter account, he expressed concerns over the involvement of a certain political faction which is being blamed for the accident according to the report. The PTI chief said, “There must be an end to mafia politics and armed wings of political parties.”

He added, “Our ruling elite has complete disregard for lives of ordinary citizens.”

Khan further tweeted that the killing of 258 labourers by setting the Balida factory on fire was utterly inhumane.

The report submitted by Sindh Rangers on Friday during the hearing of the Baldia Town factory fire case revealed, that the fire was intentionally caused by miscreants as the owners were not paying extortion demanded by a certain political faction.

According to the report, the Rangers recently arrested a prime suspect who confessed to setting the factory on fire along with a group of miscreants intentionally.
