Rashid refuses to comment on MQM’s demand from Sindh Governor

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has refused to comment on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) demand from Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad to resign, saying the party has sought resignation from its own man.

Talking in Geo News programme “Capital Talk”, Pervaiz Rashid said, “The stakeholders should resolve the issue of resignation of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan with consultation.” He said the political parties follow party discipline.

Commenting on the issue of Karachi, the minister said the matter of port city is very serious.

Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Senator Saeed Ghani said the Governor represents the federation and the federal government had appointed Dr Ebad. He added that Sindh Governor should tender resignation if MQM does not trust him anymore.
