Fog causes delays in trains, flights’ rosters LAHORE: The intense wave of dense haze is still persisting all across Punjab including provincial capital Lahore, surging the intensity of winter weather besides, adversely affecting traffic hustle and bustle, Geo news reported Sunday morning.

According to motorway spokesman, the motorway has been shut from Lahore to Bhera as the visibility has reached to ‘Zero’ point apart from, bringing long-hours delays in flights and trains’ rosters.

According to metrological office, the worst affecting cities and towns, facing spate of thick fog, included Sahiwal, Khanewal, Okara, Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Pindi Bhattian, Sialkot, Jehlum and Sheikhupura.

Domestic and international flights, bound to Lahore, are delayed for many hours while trains have also met the same fate for 3 to 4 hours, sources further said.

The current spate of foggy environment will persist unless it rains in Punjab, but however, no imminent of downpours has been anticipated in next 24 hours, met office claimed.
